Today's changes to interest rates

Here are the changes the main banks have made to retail interest rates on Monday, May 25, 2026, so far.

For home loans:

There have been no changes to the top fifteen banks we follow.

For savings accounts:

No changes here either today.

For term deposits:

Major bank NAB has added +5 bps to their one year TD rate, taking it to 5.25% and aligning it with what is on offer from Commbank, Westpac, and ANZ. But it is still below Macquarie's 5.35%. And there are a range of other second tier banks who offer 5.35% as well. AMP Bank GO has the highest currently at 5.40%.

Heritage Bank raised its one year TD rate by +10 bps today, to 5.35%.
