Here are the changes the main banks have made to retail interest rates on Thursday, July 30, 2026, so far.
For home loans:
Macquarie has tweaked its variable home loan offer by cutting -5 bps from all those rates for all its products. That takes its owner-occupier P&I advertised rates down to 6.09%.
Meanwhile, AMP has launched a new variable mortgage line for investors. It is called their Equity Flex loan, for borrowing up to 80% LVR. It is available for total terms of 31 to 40 years! The P&I rate is 6.39% and the interest only rate is 6.59%. The minimum loan amount is $100,000. Offset features are available. The pitch isn't so much around the interest rate which is mid-to-low for these investor loans. Rather it is that you can go all the way to a 40 year loan (although interest-only is only for 6-10 years).
For savings accounts:
None to report today.
For term deposits:
None here either.
