Here are the changes the main banks have made to retail interest rates on Monday, September 14, 2026, so far.
For home loans:
Great Southern Bank has increased most of its fixed rates between +15 bps and +25 bps for both owner-occupier and investor rates, and for both P&I and interest only loans.
Bank Australia has ended its refinance offer.
For savings accounts:
No changes to report today.
For term deposits:
ING Bank has raised its 11 month TD rate by +35 bps to 5.35% and that is a market-leading rate. They have also raised their 2 year TD rate to 5.25% from 4.70%, a +55 bps rise.
NAB has cut its 9 month rate from 5.00% to 3.70%, a -130 bps chop. But they have raised their one year rate to 5.20%, a +5 bps increment.
Westpac has a new 'special offer' of 5.20% for one year. That is a +5 bps rise, and actually isn't that 'special'.
